Job Description

This position serves as a liaison between practitioners (clinical staff), physicians, and the financial services of East Coast Orthotic & Prosthetic Corp. 


  • Process referrals received via practitioner
  • Verify benefits with insurance carriers to obtain coverage information for items dispensed
  • Calculate a patient’s deductible and co-insurance, when applicable
  • Enter patient demographics, insurance information, work order, prescription, notes and scan documents into Fastrack (software)
  • Ensure that the chart is in compliance and send to billing
  • Answer daily telephone calls from practitioners/patients: (Calls regarding patient balances/payments, patient appointments, and paperwork deliveries)
  • Maintain/Update Google calendars and spreadsheets
  • Daily communication with Team Leads and Purchasing Department
  • Follow up on pending authorizations (anything over 5 days old) and on custom deliveries
  • Bi-lingual Candidates are strongly preferred.  Must be able to speak and write English/Spanish.



  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a Plus
  • Experience with Insurance Companies a Plus
  • Work Experience in Medical Office/ Hospital Preferred
