East Coast Orthotic & Prosthetic Corp. orthotic fitter Juli Griek will be running the ING New York City Marathon this November for a good cause!

On November 4th, she will be running to raise money for The Wounded Warrior Project which is a charity that she feels is  “close to my heart and my work [as a orthotic fitter].”   According to Juli, the Wounded Warrior Project’s “vision is to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history. I am very happy to be able to fundraise and help this awesome charity provide the services that help those who put their lives and bodies on the line for us everyday.”

Juli has been with East Coast Orthotic & Prosthetic Corp. since August 2011.  She presently works in our Tarrytown, NY satellite office.  We are very happy and excited to support her efforts to raise money for such a charitable cause.  The ING New York City Marathon is certainly a challenging experience for those who have ever ran it before, but East Coast O &  P could not be any happier to have someone like Juli represent us.

According to the Wounded Warrior’s website, the  organization’s purpose is to:

  • To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.
  • To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
  • To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

Below is a video about from the Wounded Warrior’s YouTube channel, explaining a bit more about what they do:
